Russian independed aikido style

www.uralaikido.ae21vek.ru

This style are build by Real - Aikido style (Lubomir Vracherevich) and I.A.B.C. style (Jordje Otton). After Jordje Otton death "Ural-Akido Assosiation" went out from I.A.B.S.
Now it is 3 dodjo's by Ekaterinburg uglomeration.

Re: Russian independed aikido style

I'm both proud and ashamed that Vracharevich is from Serbia and Montenegro. Yes, I'm proud because he is from our country, and he is famous, so I'm kind of happy for him too. But real aikido, the one he created has not much to do with what aikido should be. I have seen some trainings before. What he did was take aikido, and remove the ki out of it basically. I can't really judge that, but that's my opinion. It was made to be as real as possible, and real does not teach their students the aiki principles. Some being: don't beat the hell out of someone after they are on the ground, if you see that your opponent is going to give up, don't break his arm the first thing in a fight and stuff like that.

And as far as i know, he pronounced himself a 10th dan in real aikido, which is perfectly ok, but can be misleading. I could make my own style, and conveniently name myself a 10th dan to attract people, right?

I just hope this doesn't turn into a flame war.
