AikiWeb Forums may collect and store information for statistical
purposes. For example, we may count the number of visitors to the
different sections of our site to help us make them more useful to
visitors. Similar information is gathered for anonymous ftp, remote
account login, or for other comparable types of connections.
By sending us an electronic mail message, you may be sending us
personal information (e.g., name, address, E-mail address), as in an
official Freedom of Information Act request. We may store the name and
address of the requester in order to respond to the request or to
otherwise resolve the subject matter of your E-mail.
This site asks visitors who want to become a member of the site to
fill out a registration form where you have the option of providing
some additional information such as occupation, interests, and
homepage URL. This information is made available publically to foster
a sense of community. If you have any concerns about providing this
information, simply leave the fields blank and your registration will
still be processed.
However, registering on AikiWeb requires your full first and last
names. Your name will be listed in the AikiWeb members pages and will
also be attached to every post that you make; these pages may be
included in search engines such as Google. This fact is explicitly
stated in the site "Forum Rules" which you must read and agree to
abide by when you register on AikiWeb.
When you register at AikiWeb Forums, we may send a cookie (a small
data file) to your hard disk. While this cookie can tell us when you
enter our sites and which pages you visit, it cannot read data off
your hard disk.
Regardless of the information being transmitted to AikiWeb, we will
protect all such information consistent with applicable law.
We will never disclose your personally identifying information to any
third parties for any purpose without your prior consent. (We will
NEVER sell your name, or personal information.)
