I have a feeling that the serious expressions on all your faces belies the pleasurable experiences you are having. When armed with a lethal weapon, whether iaito or Nihonto, it is not the time for laughter. I believe I will try Iaido someday. Is it moderately enjoyable for you, or do you really, really like Iaido / Iaijutsu?

I fell in love with iai the first time I tried it. It's hard to capture the essence of it in photos - because it is something that needs to be experienced, whereas the mastery or spirit of a lot of other martial arts can be extracted from the action. Good sword cuts have a great whoosh factor - an inbuilt feedback mechanism - which I find makes the practice very addictive. Thanks for your comments and interest.
