Big ups from Slough!

Hello! My name's Bridget Chung and I live in Slough, UK.

I've been doing aikido on a semi-regular basis for 2 years at the Slough Aikikai. I'm a 5th kyu.

Aikido is my "bonus extra" martial art which I do alongside some obscure style of karate called "Seiki Juku" (bit like kyokushinkai) which is a knock down style. If you are wondering, yes, I do get confused and the two styles frequently end up muddled. I'm sure my fellow students in both styles will agree! But it's so much fun!

My other hobbies and interests are soapmaking, dressmaking, going to the gym and anything involving beer!

Also I am an engineer in a factory making building control systems.

Currently I am an armchair martial artist as my boyfriend (who also does karate) trod on my ankle during a karate class a few weeks ago, and now I'm injured.

Missing everyone at the Slough Aikikai!

Can't wait to get back to it!

They make soap in Fight club too!

Hello Mark,

Yep, Slough is indeed the home of the Office. In fact I go past that big bus station/car park on my way to work everyday. Slough's also home to Mars Bars and Sara Lee (of the gateaus).

Yes, the Slough Aikikai is UKA, but I won't be at Summer school though. Must go to it perhaps next year, when I have holiday to spare, I hear it's really good.

And as for soapmaking in Fight Club, I have no idea whether Slough has a liposuction clinic! So I stick to vegetable ingredients
