Smile Howdy

Hi. My name is Thomas Harris and I've been training for roughly three years with Oberlin College Aikikai (recently had our 30th anniversary seminar) under Jim Klar Sensei, 3rd dan. I'll be testing for first kyu rank in a week and am looking forward to this with the usual apprehensive excitement.

I started training because I felt I needed to learn some sort of martial art and Aikido seemed like the best fit. Now I mostly train for the sake of training.

I've been reading these forums for a while now and figured it was about time that I introduced myself.

Yours in ukemi,

Thomas

Re: Howdy

Hi Thomas,

Welcome to the AikiWeb Forums! I've trained with a lot of folks from Oberlin including your teacher and also Hreha sensei. I've also trained with folks who used to teach in Cleveland as well (Christopher, Bill). It seems like Ohio is an interesting hotbed of aikido!
