Just to Highlight a seminar that's coming up soon.
A weekend of Aikido with guest instructor Yoko Okamoto. (5th Dan Shidoin.)
This will be on 17th and 18th of April 2004. The Saturday will run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and the Sunday will run from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The venue will be the Jack Kane Sports Centre, 208 Niddrie Mains Road, Edinburgh, EH16 6RN. The Cost is,

Yoko Okamoto (5th Dan, shidoin) started aikido at the World Aikido Headquarters in Tokyo in 1977 with the First Doshu, Kissyomaru Ueshiba. She continued her studies in France with Christian Tissier Shihan from 1979 to 1981. On returning to Japan, Yoko trained back at the World Headquarters, focussing on the late Seigo Yamaguchi Shihan and I. Shibata Shihan (Current Dojo-cho of Berkley Aikikai). In 1991, she established Portland Aikikai in Oregon, USA, assuming the role of Dojo-cho until her return to Japan in 2003. Currently, Yoko teaches at Aikido Kyoto, which she founded in 2003 for the development of aikido in the Japanese and international community in Kyoto. See
