Hello!

Hello.

I thought I'd take this time to introduce myself, and because Genex decided to make me.

My name is Bryan Chriscoli, I just recently started learning aikido (first lesson was yesterday). And I must comment, that it is not what I expected at all.
I found my first lesson to be more about relaxation during techniques, and being able to focus.

I learned Karate a few years ago, and I remember my sensei teaching us about using the power from our sides to punch. I guess thats why I found yesterday hard, but relieving.

I plan to carry on learning aikido, not only because it's fun learning.. but because I also get to throw Genex around

Yours..

Bryan

Welcome to Aikido, Bryan!

As a former Karate practicioner myself, let me say you're going to love the difference!

Hi Bryan,

Welcome to the AikiWeb Forums and to aikido! I hope you'll enjoy your experience in both of them.
