Ive been thinking about this and what would be cool - albeit maybe technically challenging - is if Aikiweb had a way for you to remember which threads you posted in.

With the number of social networking sites and forums we all go to, the one thing that is sure is that remembering when/where you posted is hard to remember and keep up with.

- sometimes old threads pop up and you find you are responding again in a 17 page long thread.

- sometimes you just plain forget which thread you were writing in
[I have seen a site where you can 'fav' or 'subscribe' to a thread, and this helps you keep up with whats going on]

- even better would be to know when someone replied to you, albeit you would not know if the quote button was not used.

Just some thoughts...

Some versions of the vBulletin software show how many times you've posted in a thread when you hover over the folder icon in the forum index, although it doesn't seem to be done here.

From a coding point of view, it would be a relatively simple modification to make to the source code. Just a single SELECT statement.

Hi Dalen,

From the forum index (eg the General forum), you can see which threads you yourself have posted in by looking for a dot in the middle of the folder icon (eg ).

You can also see a poster's posting history by clicking on their profile (eg here's yours) and then clicking on the "find all posts by <that_user>" link.

And, you can subscribe to threads by clicking on the "Thread Tools" drop-down at the top of each thread and using the "Subscribe to this Thread" link there. You'll be able to set notification settings for each thread and be able to modify them (eg unsubscribe) via your Preferences (here).

But the others I didnt realize, and they are pretty useful features.

Hmm... on closer inspection, the feature I alluded to is indeed present on this forum; I must have been looking in a category I haven't recently posted in!
