Practicing Forward Rolls

Has anyone tried this way of practicing forward rolls?

Actually, yes. It was quite fun, but really dizzying... I learned the ride was a lot more enjoyable (and ultimately less painful, if I relaxed my body for the most part other than the parts necessary to maintain a protected, rounded shape, like my abs and my arms to protect my head. I also learned not to drink too much water beforehand... :-)

The rolling isn't the hard part, it is keeping in sync with the music.

well I have to confess that I like ukemi down steep slopes.
(i do it from horses but that is not tottally of my own volition)


why will you ask
