I would like to know what to call a twohanded grab around the neck,
from constructing I would call it Ryokubitori,

Re: Ryokubitori ?
Do you mean like in a choking action. Like when someone flips out and grabs you by the neck with both hands?

Re: Ryokubitori ?
Yes !
Both hands of Uke grabbing the neck, as in choking.

Re: Ryokubitori ?
I'd guess there are lots of words you could use.
Judo uses "ryote jime" and "morote jime". Those usually describe collar chokes. However both are basically "two hand choke"
I'd guess you could also simply use "Kubishimi" to mean neck choke, or maybe "mai kubishimi" to specifically mean front neck choke.
Maybe someone who speaks Japanese will come along soon and give us some more...

Hmm, "Ryokubitori" suggests grabbing both necks! Would work on Zaphod Beeblebrox, I suppose...

Re: Ryokubitori ?
well, I speak japanese like a spanish cow, but maybe ryote (both hands) kubishime (neck strangulation)?
ryo kubidori would as another mentioned, seem to describe grabbing both necks.
We use "ryotekubidori" to indicate grabbing both tekubi (the hand-neck - or wrist)...

Re: Ryokubitori ?

as mentioned, I got a little a head of myself, and found out to late
that i hadn't called it Ryotekubitori !
But mae (ryotetori) Kubishime sounds like a good bet :-)

Re: Ryokubitori ?
For us, Kubishime is a choke. Mai kubishime is the two-handed choke from the front.
