Hello from Shari and Keigan Productions

Hello forum,
I taught Aikido for 27 years at Aikido of Diablo Valley, but am now retired from the art - or at least that aspect of it. A few years ago, I formed a company called Keigan Productions so that I had a platform from which I could make and sell Aikido DVDs of various outstanding sensei. That is what I am doing now. Proceeds are split between Keigan Productions and the sensei involved with the video.

Keigan Productions has several DVDs out - the most popular ones are of a seminar with Terry Dobson and one by Ellis Amdur called Ukemi From The Ground Up (which is reviewed on this website).

There is a new one out by Robert Frager (7th Dan) that contains two videos, one of how the Five Rings of Miyamoto Musashi can be applied to Aikido, and one of Frager's stories of training with O-Sensei. Those stories are great!

Another DVD is a seminar with Dennis Hooker Sensei (6th Dan) explaining the power and application of zanshin and ma-ai to Aikido. A lot of what he teaches is not often offered in depth. It is an excellent video.

I invite you to go to <www.keiganproductions.com/products> and see what other DVDs are there. All have review links so that you can read what others think of the videos. Perhaps, upon viewing one of the videos, you would be kind enough to post a review yourself, here on the Aikiweb.

Best wishes to all,
Shari Dyer (4th Dan)
Producer, Keigan Productions

Re: Hello from Shari and Keigan Productions

Well, Shari, I'm sorry to read you are no longer teaching on the mat. The growing list of dvds is truly impressive, though. Best of luck and best wishes for the new year.
