After I wrote my essay, I did a lot of thinking...

I have yet to be one with myself

yet to be in unity with myself

yet to be in harmony with myself

yet to have peace with myself

yet to be in aiki with myself...

Therefore I have not yet the right to talk about being one with others, nature, or the universe... let alone the Divine...

When I have to die by the sword, I will do so with honor.

admit mistakes

From my experience, the first step is to repent.

Bruce think you have to be careful of not falling into the trap of thinking that the "untapped" energy is a separate part from your "self" it is not. It is always there and it is visible and active.

Problem is that sort of like you say it is "invisible" to us..but it is active and working it is just that we misguide or mis-use it. Doing activities such as aikido, yoga, and meditation bring us closer to understanding it and figuring out how to control it.

Nothing mystical or secretive. Look at Ghandi's Chi, or Martin Luther King's Chi...or better yet O'Sensei's Chi...it is still alive and working and getting stronger everyday.

We must not think of ourselves or our energy as separate or ending...it goes on and on even after the physical self dies.

O'sensei's chi is manifest in everyone of us who follows his path. Now that is powerful! You just have to open your eyes and see it all around you!
