Re: Dan Harden-Zwolle, Netherlands May 7-8

Ernesto,
please remind Dan he's supposed to bring me some nettle cheese.
I had to explain what nettles were... sheesh, the guy's so unsophisticated.
Thanks.

"The Dutch are "too sophisticated" and "reserved" to be outspoken."

Now THAT'S funny! (Or is it just the Dutch that I know that seem to excel at, and perhaps take pride in, being outspoken? )

Glad to hear a good time was had by all: The good, The bad, and The Sven.

Isn't it nice to, at once, raise the bar, have a long way to go, AND have a Way () to get there helped along by someone willing, able and skilled at sharing . . . who also happens to be a heck of a nice guy?!?!

"How could it be so? It came without ribbons!... it came without tags!... it came without packages, boxes, or bags!"

Re: Dan Harden-Zwolle, Netherlands May 7-8

Well, all I will say is that by the time I left, Ernesto is the new
Bobbyparpa.
And I really was totally undone by his little girl...she just had to smile!
The English wiith that Dutch accent can still get me confused, I could have sworn this beautiful lady looked me in the eye and with a smile said `Talk trash.``
So I did....
In a low voice I said `Baby you look so good in that black outfit, so slinky....when she was startled she had said ``Āll I said was `Tot straks`` see you in a minute`` in dutch!!
Nederland rocks!!

England next!!!
I will write more about the dutch seminar later.
Cheers
Dan

Re: Dan Harden-Zwolle, Netherlands May 7-8

Bunny particularly liked breathing through the hands and feet, it gave my fur that nice extra fluffy feeling that a rabbit loves in summer.

The low kick cant have been aiki though: it still hurts and we all know aiki is about love and peace, not pain! So Bunny got a little shy, but the Dutch hosts gave me a carrott and I continued training.

Well I donīt know about anyone else but I am only coming back if there is another Sven. Iīve always loved forces of nature like tornados, hurricanes, natural disasters......like the Sven.
See Ya

Re: Dan Harden-Zwolle, Netherlands May 7-8

I have heard already rumours that The Sven will turn up at Allen's training (end of july) in our dojo.

Plenty of time to prepare ourselves.

Oh, and I thought it was the Finnish who are sophisticated and reserved. You know, like me?
...
Joe, I happen to live just a couple blocks away from the Anton Geesink dojo! I've trained there in the past, but a long time ago, now I train somewhere else.

Well, maybe you're right. At least we're not like the Germans as they seem to be lacking any kind of sense of humor. I mean c'mon, Nicholas? No fun at all to hang with that guy.

Geez, I'm kinda hanging in here as if I desperately don't want the feel of this seminar to end....

I would, but Dan took them all when he left for England. Apparently they have to import the decent stuff.

Greg, I'm not really into all that kinky stuff. All this talk of connecting, sinking, rising, penetrating, pole shaking I dunno. After Dan's stay it all took on new meanings...

Yes, Dan can certainly bring new perspectives to many common things
