Re: what technique is your kryptonite?
Koshinage has certainly given me issues, but I haven't attempted one for a while.
I never quite got Shishiya sensei's version of iriminage either. I don't mind the more usual versions though.
Lately I've been having trouble with ikkyo, which is strange, because I always thought it was one of my better techniques. I guess these things go in cycles.

Re: what technique is your kryptonite?
not techniques but principles such as kuzushi from different attacks using aiki. this is my area of improvement now. Still tend to grab uke rather than just redirect and lead without grabbing.

Re: what technique is your kryptonite?
Irimi nage. For me it feels difficult to do it effectively, because I worry that I'll hurt uke by bumping my arm into his / her face.

Re: what technique is your kryptonite?
Just the last one demonstrated to the class while I'm uke ... I can never seem to get that one.
Or the one just called out during a test.

Re: what technique is your kryptonite?
Koshinage... and for some reason ushiro stuff lately. High breakfalls have been kinda rough too, I'm just not as into them as I was a few month ago. Aches and pains are getting longer to heal from too, which is makes me less fond of going rough. Ahh... the pains of aging--this material body can't last forever.

Re: what technique is your kryptonite?
I would have to say.... Aikido. I go through periods of great improvement and periods of great dumbness. So far the only thing I'm good at is the first movement which is getting out of the way of the attack. But hey! That's pretty darned important!

Shiho nage. I've got long arms and legs and getting under uke's arm is always a struggle.

Re: what technique is your kryptonite?
Reading this thread, it seems that there is a huge variety of techniques that people find difficult. It would be great to see how people are doing these techniques to see where they are going wrong. I'm sure between us we would all have a few tips for each other.
