On wednsday, we did to the 31 jo kata. But, I am actually glad that we did. I actually have it down to the point where I can get to 31 (with some stumbling along the way) But I'm getting it. I do need to know it for 4th kyu, but thats two ranks away. On friday, we did alot of cool ki stuff that Sensei kept quoting Bob Nedeau Sensei during. In witch it kept me thinking. "What is your main support." He kept saying. The only thing I could think of was my whole self. That not one part could support the whole, that only the whole could support the part. Perhaps I am thinking into it too much. But hey, we did cool ukimi stuff before class! I wounder what it will be like when I am an Ushi Deshi....

Hello one and all to my little courner of the Aikiweb.com site.

At my dojo, wednsday is weapons day. We do mostly Bokken and Jo, and a bit of tanto. But for the past 4 weeks, its been the 31 Jo kata, over, and over, and over, and over, and...

I'm not saying that I don't like the Jo or anything, but It gets to a old at times, like when we do the 31 kumi Jo. I get frustrated trying to remember both sides.

My love is the bokken. The tradition of the ones who came before, infused into wood. I never tire of the bokken.

Tomorrow I am going to help my feance and another student train for their 6th Kyu tests (myself being 6th Kyu). I;ve learned alot sence my testing, and I feel that it being fresh in my mind (almost a month and 1/2 fresh), Will do them some good.

A boring entry, I know
