Hello one and all to my little courner of the Aikiweb.com site.
At my dojo, wednsday is weapons day. We do mostly Bokken and Jo, and a bit of tanto. But for the past 4 weeks, its been the 31 Jo kata, over, and over, and over, and over, and...
I'm not saying that I don't like the Jo or anything, but It gets to a old at times, like when we do the 31 kumi Jo. I get frustrated trying to remember both sides.
My love is the bokken. The tradition of the ones who came before, infused into wood. I never tire of the bokken.
Tomorrow I am going to help my feance and another student train for their 6th Kyu tests (myself being 6th Kyu). I;ve learned alot sence my testing, and I feel that it being fresh in my mind (almost a month and 1/2 fresh), Will do them some good.
