well I did not expect René to be there on Saturday as his girlfriend is over from Germany so I set off and made my way to the dojo.
I saw the big black fellah and followed him up the stairs and to the Dojo.
As usual no one wants to talk to an foreigner so he phone three or four people on his mobile so as not to talk to me and we waited for the sensei to arrive.
He did so in five minutes and we spilled inside and got changed.
In walks René and his girlfriend, was i surprised!
He walked in all full of himself and showing off with his woman, I expected this and shrugged to off and just did my own thing.
we got changed and talked BS and I went over to Biggi (Her name)and said "Hi" and all that and Rene tried to explain what Aikido is and al that.
The lesson started with the usual warm up and super stretching followed by rolls and falls.
then on to ikkyo and the two ways entering and turning, which was good!
Then I noticed that Rene was showing off and totally doing his techniques quite hard (And wrong may I add with total muscle and force)and showing me how and where i was going wrong.
to be expected yet totally not what I wanted.
We then when on to do some nice throws and all.
I was coupled with the black guy who is now named "Spawn" as he looks and does Aikido like "Spawn" form the movies and comics.He threw me hard, very hard, to the point that now on Monday I still hurt!
The lesson was good and The last technique was paired with Rene who liked to throw me as hard as he could to the sheer delight of his woman, yet i did not concede and did not throw him hard. I did not rise to this and did my technique as best as i could as I want to be good at Aikido and not show off!
Over all a good lesson and i liked it even though Rene was a bit of an idiot. I will not concede!
