Shadows -- they hide
They obscure
They provide protection
And possibilities
And, they are not
Always apparent
Two sides
Omote and ura
Front and back
The obvious and the hidden
But, shadows, shadows can
Sometimes be so illuminating
And provide a lesson
Beyond the obvious
