After the battle-crap
And the terror-piss
After the fighting
Has ended

After the shock
And exhaustion
Has passed
And slow recovery begins

Then I can
Drink my beer
Tell my war stories
And all my lies

And most definitely
Not mention
My terror-piss
Or, my battle-crap

We all have our battles. Doesn't have to be a war to be afraid in it.
