I haven't talked much about Riggs Sensei's new office and dojo much. There is still much work to be done, but progress is being made!

Over the last several weeks, we have taken down numerous walls that defined offices upstairs in this building... and are getting it ready to take downstairs to rebuild his future office. Dr. Riggs is a chiropractor and will have lots of fresh, new and better laid out space at his new office. Lots of windows, better lay-out, private parking and a great big building! And the good news is: it's two story!

Upstairs is the future home of Aikido of Midland. Space will be avaliable for almost 1,000 sq.ft. of mat space! Nearly twice what we have now, and what we have now is temporary at the most. We have left walls up for men's and women's changing rooms, bathrooms are already existing, an office is laid out for Sensei and soon we'll have a display area and break area ready to go.

The ceilings are already 10 ft. high and higher in some places, so height is no longer a problem for us (where once is was). All the walls will be textured and painted, the Shomen will be nice and new, but nothing too fancy. Best of all: everything is going to NEW, CLEAN and OURS to play with. Very much looking forward to it's completion... since I'm testing shortly after we get moved in. Yikes!
