Just read the first 3 pages or so, the conversation got derailed after that.
By the way I read "Ki in Daily Life", it barely scratches the surface of what proper martial qi/jin should be, but gives you the first step to the door ("relax"). Also it has a lot of philosophical stuff about mental attitude which is very helpful in the general "life-issues" sense but could be misleading if one is pursuing ki as a physical skill.
If you want to read more about the study of ki, I think Qigong books are going to be more useful than aikido books.... probably not a good idea to practise qigong without a teacher though, for safety reasons.
