Question Picture based bokken instruction ??

HI all, I'm looking for a picture based bokken (or jo) technique instruction so that I can use iit as a reference beside my sensei's teaching. Is that any? I will prefer it in soft copy because it will be easier to me. ( Not that one in fudebakudo.com !!)

Re: Picture based bokken instruction ??

Hello Tan!
Maybe not exactly what you want, but if you go the my clubs internet site (address below) you will be able to click onto "révision en images" and you will see an instrucive video of the jo kata 31.

http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kaigan-no-maru/katajo31.htm

Hope this helps

Andrew

You should consider borrowing or renting a video camera and filming your instructor.

Re: Picture based bokken instruction ??

Good suggestion but for me a picture based instruction still the best in fact I doesn't need to stop and keep rewinding the video while training.

Try the Aikido Journal website. They sell Saito Sensei's DVD on the Ken and Jo. Saito Sensei is arguably the most prolific user of weapons in Aikido. He is the one that initially systematised the Jo and Ken work. On the DVD you will find Kihon waza, Awase sets and Kumitachi and Kumijo sets.
