Leg joint manipulations in Aikido

I can recognize Yonkyo at 0:18 and Nikkyo at 0:33 but not the technique at 0:24, any suggestions?

If you have any videos of joint manipulations on legs in Aikido, please post them here.

Re: Leg joint manipulations in Aikido

It looked like a kaitenage variation to me. Kuzushi forward and lead the head forward and down in a spiral. The upward lifting hand just looked to be pushing on a leg instead. Very cool, thanks for posting.

O Sensei's manual, Budo, there are a handful of still shots of legs being blocked, struck, or manipulated somehow. Aikido Journal was circulating a video a few years ago, but I can't find it right of hand.

Excellent technique. It transitions into a knee bar, nice.

Here is also a Sumi O Toshi on a leg at 0:47, at 1:25 the same technique with a joint manipulation on the ankle:

Re: Leg joint manipulations in Aikido

Daitoryu has a whole set of waza to the legs and done by the legs.

As in nikkyo done with your feet to their wrists, shihonage to the leg, etc

It would be great if you could post some pictures or videos of them here so we could see them. Off course if that's allowed.
