Re: Surching for a Dojo...

Um, it would be helpful if you'd search with the correct spelling of the town, which is Arcata (Arcadia is in southern California....), home of Humboldt State University....

Re: Searching for a Dojo... Arcata, CA

Hi-
I train at Northcoast Aikido. Visitors are always welcome; the schedule can be found at the link Janet posted above. We are unaffiliated but aikikai-ish in style, with emphasis on atemi generally strong but varying depending on the instructor.

There are also dojos in southern Humboldt county and in Crescent City, but either is several hours by car from HSU.

Hi, Lorien - I didn't realize you are up there! If you ever come down the road to Ukiah, give me a holler!

Hi Janet-
I haven't been on Aikiweb for a while, so no surprise! I didn't realize that you trained in Ukiah, and I've been reading your posts for years.
