Need the surgery, as the tear is more than 50%. According to my orthopaedic; (and what I've read) because the area is not very vascular (not a lot of blood flow), it takes longer to heal, and that at my level of tear, it more than likely won't (especially since I'm still currently training).
What I'm wondering is, if anyone out there has had the surgery, supplemented the traditional PT with additional therapies (accupuncture, massage, TENS, etc) and what were their results as far as healing time and pain levels. Thanks again!
