Kiatsu - Life experiences

Hello again

i was looking for some aikido books and i found Kiatsu By Sensei Tohei. I didn`t know what that is so i opened the book. Healing ... Then i remembered that during a class i`ve witness kiatsu. One of my calss students injured his leg a little bit and sensei touched him and after a few moments he said that he`s felling better.
I`ve asked my calss students what was that and they told me ... "Kiatsu... You`ll learn."

Hehhehehe yes ... thank you

So ... Kiatsu ... concentrate Ki infinitely smaller at the fingertips...

Did you have some experiences with kiatsu. Do you practice kiatsu? Did someone helped you or did you helped someone?

Thx

Re: Kiatsu - Life experiences

After landing awkward out of a throw and feeling enough pain where I knew I messed up good my Sensei worked on my back for a minute or so. He does do Kiatsu so I assumed it was part of that. After the massage I could barely feel any pain. It definitely didn't make anything worse.

Done it, and it worked for several people I used it on.

One 'miraculous' result from woman with cronic back and neck pain from a bad car accident and several surgeries.
Completely relieved her of pain that she had for years.

Be careful letting people know you have the skill once you get it - a line forms rather quickly.

Like anything else, the more you practice, the better you will get.

Re: Kiatsu - Life experiences

My first aikido class back in the early 1970s. I was training in a Ki Society dojo with Masao Shoji sensei. I did not roll correctly and hurt my left shoulder. I was unable to lift it to get it out of my gi. Sensei and another black belt worked on it and totally relieved the pain. It rapidly went back to where it was prior to the injury and I was able to move my shoulder and put my shirt on without difficulty.
