Linda Lee Vecchio Cancer Fund

Posted 2014-01-29 15:51:28 by Jun Akiyama
News URL: http://www.gofundme.com/4jri3g

Linda Lee Vecchio, one of the highest ranking female aikido practitioners in the United States Aikido Federation (7th dan), has been practicing aikido for over 45 years. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1974 which went into remission after treatment, but in 2010, the cancer came back. Since then, she underwent surgery, has suffered a stroke, and now has three non-operable brain tumors.

Her son has set up a fund for her medication, medical bills, and living expenses.

To help by donating, please visit http://www.gofundme.com/4jri3g.

I think it would be a great thing if the AikiWeb community could help out a fellow aikido practitioner and her family in need. Anything helps, folks. Thank you.

Hi folks!

Even if you can donate $10, it will help out a lot. So, please help if you can.

Thank you,

Re: Linda Lee Vecchio Cancer Fund

I would like to personally thank all that donate and help my mom. I can't tell you how much every dime makes such a difference. She has been a warrior fighting this battle. No matter the pain, no matter how she feels, her life will always be teaching Aikido and spreading peace to all she encounters. I thank you all from my heart the support, love & respect you all give to my mom. May God Bless you and peace always be with you.

James S. Vecchio, Sr.
