Very good page:

You will also notice that most of the libelous stories told by these cowards about the source of their jealousy are "second hand." All reasonable adults reading this should have the sense to realize that anyone can make up any wild story and safely post it in the Chat Room. These stories usually begin with: "I know someone who was there when…" or "One of my friends who shall remain nameless told me that he heard it from a good authority that…" I cannot count the number of times that "someone's friend" or their "friend's friend" knew somebody that actually saw Steven Seagal get beat up by Gene Lebell/Hulk Hogan/Their Sensei in an airport/restaurant/hotel/movie set. Well, you can file those urban legends in the same box with all of the people who kicked/saw their friend kick/heard that a friend's friend kicked Bruce Lee's ass. Nowadays, they are quick to add the claim "…and I have it on video." Of course, no one ever sees the video…

Take a look at Gene Lebelle VS Steven Segall
Quote:
: Gene LeBell(notice proper spelling) choked out Steven Segal twice. Steven saw doing grappling take downs with other stunt men while on a break while shooting a film for Segal. Segal stated that no one could do a go behind on him and that he was the best martial artist in the world. Gene, 59 at the time, said it would be rather easy to do a go-behind on Segal, and Segal took up the challenge. Segal paid no heed to the fact that 'JUDO' Gene LeBell is the 'Toughest Man Alive'. Gene easily took Segal down and choked him unconciencious. Segal, after being revived, challenged Gene again, saying that he was not ready. this time as Gene went behind Segal, Segal attempted to grab LeBell by the groin. Gene snatched Segal up spun him around to avoid a curb and again choked Segal unconcious. This time Segal's bowels gave up and he messed his pants.
I remember sitting at a table with an 8th degree black belt in Hapkido at a wedding. His son-in-law worked in Hollywood and said that the people there hated Steven Segal. The only thing I could do was nod in agreement, because these stories matched other things I had heard about Segal.

There are a lot of good martial artists and not all of them practice Aikido. Then there are really great martial artists like LeBell. Although he may not be as well-known to the public, among those who know him, he is well-respected.

What I've written may irritate some and anger others, but it is the truth. Truth does deserve to be heard.

It is not practice that makes perfect, it is correct practice that makes perfect.
