Gerry Gyngell - RIP

I am sorry to report the passing of one Kenshiro Abbe's personal students and my dear friend Gerry Gyngell aged 82 years.
Gerry studied Aikido and Judo at the `Hut Dojo` in the late 1950/60s., he was a member of Kenshiro Abbe Sensei's 1964 Olympic Trials Judo Squad.
Gerry was the Welsh L/H Judo champion for three consecutive years , he also worked in the BJC office in Denmark Street London alongside Abbe Sensei and Bill Woods Sensei.
Many will remember Gerry as a special guest at the ` Masahilo Nakazono Memorial Event ` at Neath in South Wales in 2007

The funeral will be held on August 9th at 4pm at the Barry Island Crematorium.
Rest in peace dear friend.
