Hi everybody!
I'm starting to take aikido next Tuesday (I'm hot even a beginner yet, ha, but am really determined! ), and I'm wondering if it is possible to buy a gi anywhere in Toronto, or must I order online?.... I suspect there are places in TO area that sell martial arts supplies, but no idea where to find them. Or maybe someone could recommend a place?.... Additionally, I was hoping for maybe some recommendation on which brand or kind of gi to buy.

It is a common practice among dojos to sell gi. Perhaps call the dojo, and ask if you can buy one before class starts (assuming they sell gi at the dojo). If not call the dojo and ask them where you can go. I know in my dojo, we have a deal with a Martial Arts shop. Maybe they have something similar.
Thank you very much everyone for your replies. I finally found a martial arts store in Toronto (who could've thought it'd be so hard to find one?! ), and bought a judo gi. Starting practice today! Very excited!
