Exclamation Aikido in Paris

Hello everyone,

I want to start Aikido in Paris for the first time. But I don't know which places are good etc.

In my university they offer an Aikido course but the price is 55 Euros and it is only 1 and half an hour in a week. Do you think that this price is not expensive for Paris? Or should I search for another dojo in Paris?

Thanks.

Re: Aikido in Paris

I recommend the Cercle Tissier.

Classes every day. Special beginners classes on Tuesday and Thursday.
Monthly fee is 80 €. Or one class 15 €.

I think 55 € per month is not that expensive for Paris.
But I would look for a possibility where you can practice more than once a week.

Re: Aikido in Paris

Thank you for your suggestion, I cancelled my registration for the course in university and will probably go to Cercle Tissier, it seems to be a good place.

Is this price same for beginners and all the others?

Re: Aikido in Paris

There is also a Dojo of Greg Habert in Paris you can type his name + aikido in Youtube and find some videos. He is Technical and Personal really nice and one of the youngest 4th Dans around.

You Should try anyway a few places and see what fits and which trainer you like.

Re: Aikido in Paris

Tissier is a true modern master, IMO, with plenty of videos online for you to look at and get an idea of his style and approach to the art. His techniques are very powerful, martial-oriented, yet graceful and relaxed. He also studied under many of the first wave of unchi deshi including Mitsugi Satome, Seigo Yamguchi and Osawa sensei. These influences are quite apparent in his Aikido.

Re: Aikido in Paris

Muttaki,

PSB for a link Jacques Bardet. He is the technical director for the FFAB and one of the CEN instructors. Jacques was a direct student of Tamura Sensei and is truly gifted. He teaches almost everyday in a number of dojos across Paris.

I hope this helps.
