E-bogu Hakama

Has anyone tried this hakama for Aikido practice ?

http://www.e-bogu.com/Top_quality_Sh...8-navy-all.htm

It looks very interesting. I am curious about it's durability.

I've only ever worn the Iwata cotton indigo hakama, which I like but it's time for new one. The e-bogu is significantly less expensive than the Iwata (or Tozando for that matter).

Thanks !

Guess not.
And darn you for distracting me with online browsing!

"The inner folds are stitched to keep the folds always neat."
I wonder if those stitches would hurt the knees during shikko/suwari waza.

Re: E-bogu Hakama

YOYO!! McDonald here. I have two gis from e-bogu and their great. One's real cheap and rough another is soft and affordable. The hakama I have not been graced to wear just yet but if the other aikido uniforms (and weapons!!) are any standard of quality I say go for the ebogu-hakama. Cheerio!

Hi Neal,

Slightly old thread but, I have the exact hakama shown in the e-bogu link and its a blody nice bit of cloth. Its a heavy hakama but not quite as heafty as the one I wear for kendo.

The inner stitched pleats are great however, I've already split the threads near the knees having done quite a bit of suwari waza, other than that its one of the best hakama I've worn for aikido.
