3/11/2003 9:36pm [from Michael Black]

On April 12th, Michael Black Sensei (Dojo-cho) will re-dedicate the 6,000 square foot school (nearly triple in size) to his late teacher: Fumio 'Tenzan' Toyoda Shihan. "It wasn't too long ago when Aikido was scarce in the greater Houston area, now we are very well represented by organizations such as AAA, ASU, USAF, Yoshinkan, Ki Society, Seidokan as well as independent Dojo". Along with being the HQ. of our five locations, our dojo was built to be a hub for Martial and Cultural Arts. Aikido, Lima Lama, Judo, Iaido/Kendo, Karate and Brazillian Jujitsu as well as traditional Japanese Cultural Arts will be offered at our center. Shinjinkan Dojo: The "Ever-green...Ever-growing" Dojo will also have a resident-student program. A two-bedroom apartment is located on the second floor and comes fully equipped with a bathroom/shower, washer-dryer facility as well as a full kitchen. Anyone visiting the Houston area can call us at (281) 681 0681 it will be our pleasure to help you find a Dojo nearby where you are staying or a good restaurant. Toyoda Shihan; while moving heaven and earth with our bodies taught us to give but most of all "To serve".

Black Sensei,

Congratulations on your Grand Re-0pening! You have worked hard and trained hard and should be very proud of your accomplishments!

Good luck with your new facility and continue spreading Aikido and Toyoda Shihan's legacy.

-Blaine
