AikiWeb.com will be undergoing a scheduled "maintenance" down-time for a few days on November 24-27, 2011.

The AikiWeb forums will definitely be down during that time and the other services (eg Dojo Search, Seminars, Gallery, Blogs) will also most likely be down. The site may be entirely inaccessible for a while, too.

Sorry for the down-time, folks!

Hi folks,

Quick update to say that I've started to work in the background on things. I'll try to keep the site available for as long as I can over this weekend, but please bear with me if things should become a bit wonky (unstable) in the interim or if I decide to take the site off-line without further notice...

Quick status update:

I put in about eight hours of tinkering, testing, and twiddling in the background on things today, but no need to turn off the forums just yet until tomorrow at the earliest.

Another quick update:

After another twelve hours or so of work today, I don't know if I'll get to the really big part of the maintenance this weekend. My plan, at this point, is to do just the smaller part of my plans which will most likely mean some down-time tomorrow, hopefully for not too long...

Hi everyone,

As you can see, the website is now back up! Hopefully, everything is working OK. My hopes are that you'll all have a quicker browsing experience on the site.

With that said, please let me know if you run into any issues by using the Contact Us page.

As a note, I have retired the AikiCards, Multimedia, and AikiWiki sections. I am planning on replacing the AikiWiki section with something new in the near future.

Bug in the proximity (radius) search in the dojo search engine has been reported. I'm looking into it now. Thanks, Mark!

The proximity (radius) search bug has been found and fixed. (Bug was introduced when I was fixing a different bug earlier. Of course.)

I want to take a moment to remind folks....this is a noncommercial site except for little and darned cheap sponsored links some of us folks who make gear or sell videos or do seminars pay for....so if you enjoy being part of the Aikiweb experience, please consider being a contributing member. Cost per year is less than what many folks spend on coffee in a work week.
