Paul,
You have a great many choices in Columbus. I am partial to the Columbus Aikikai, as I previously trained under Frank Hreha Shihan. Dan McConnel Sensei is very friendly. However, I had the privilege of practicing with folks from most of the rest and their Aikido is excellent too.

My dojo in Twinsburg, Ohio is a TenShin dojo--that is, traditional Aikido with Steven Seagal Shihan's unique randori deflection techniques. We also train in aiki jujutsu, but I am not familiar with those in Columbus.
Best of luck in choosing. You are welcome to train with us if you should ever be in the Cleveland area.
