Old Texas addage follows:

There was a baby bird left alone in the nest when the mother bird went to hunt food. It was a blustery day and the cold wind blew the baby bird out of the nest and on to the cold ground where it began to freeze to death. A passing cow plops a cow patty on to the the suddenly warm baby bird which keeps it from freezing. Suddenly the baby bird notices a cat approach and start digging at the cow patty to get to the bird. The moral of the sotry is that everyone the poops on you is not necessarily doing you harm. And those trying to get you out of the poop means to do you good.

Hmmm lets see, my Doka....

a man is not judged by what he has achieved but by the people who know him.
