Ken Nisson in Newark NJ 4/27/06

Immediately before his upcoming weekend seminar at Bond Street

http://www.bondstreet.org/nabs/seminars/2006_nisson/

Ken "The Velvet Hammer" Nisson will teach at NJIT this Thursday evening, April 27 from 7 to 9 pm on the third floor of the Zoom & Estelle Fleisher Gymnasium.

Nisson Sensei, currently the chief instructor of Aikido of Modesto, cofounded both Vermont Aikido and Bond Street Dojo with Terry Dobson, and both the Thursday night class and the weekend seminar at Bond Street are a great opportunity to experience his unique approach to aikido training.

This will also be the final class of our academic year, marking the successful conclusion of the fourth year of aikido@njit.edu

There is a suggested donation of $15. Please let us know in advance if you're coming out by dropping a note to the e-mail above. For more details about his weekend seminar at Bond Street, go to:

For more information about Aikido of Modesto, go to:

We look forward to seeing you on the mat.

To get here from Manhattan: Take the PATH train to Newark Penn Station, then the Newark Subway to the Warren St. stop. You'll be coming out during rush hour, so the fare on the Newark Subway is $1.15 (just get a Zone 1 ticket from the NJTransit Machine at the subway entrance). If you have a .50 ticket and you run into a fare enforcement officer, it's a $50 fine, so make sure you have a $1.15 ticket. When you come out of the subway, just walk straight ahead 50 yards and you're right at the entrance to the gym. Locker rooms are on the first floor, the mat is at the back of the third floor.
