Well, here we are.
Tomorrow night is testing; I might be a tad nervous (more excited, but a little nervous), but at least I have seen this one coming for a while. Two shodans will be testing for nidan and Sensei will be testing for sandan...which they only found out about 2 days ago. Yoiks.
It occured to me while talking to someone (a newbie, i think) that there are more dan ranks than kyu ranks; that alone should tell you where shodan stands on the scale of importance.
Kashimura Sensei (5th dan) has been visiting us for almost 2 weeks now with nearly daily practices, and we are all sore but happy. Some picks can be found here
