The Toyoda Center/Yushinkan Dojo is now accepting applications for its year round Uchi-Deshi (live-in) student program. The Toyoda Center, named after the late Shihan Fumio Toyoda, is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is a full time cultural arts center offering Aikido seven days a week while also offering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Yoga, Asian Calligraphy and Drawing, Kendo, Japanese Language, Zen Meditation, Bonsai, and periodic seminars in arts such as Shiatsu Massage and Sushi making. The Toyoda Center is equipped with complete live-in student quarters, full kitchen, laundry, and shower facilities. Live-in students are required to attend all Aikido classes along with the meditation and art courses. The Uchi-Deshi program is a very serious training program for those interested in becoming instructors in the art of Aikido. For more information please contact Blaine at the Toyoda Center at 616-334-7681.
