Re: Article: What is Zanshin? by Chuck Clark
In The Spiritual Foundations of Aikido, William Gleason Sensei quotes Sogen Omori, a master swordsman of the Choku Shinkage style:
"I was attending a certain gathering and noticed an elderly gentleman sitting formally on his knees. After studying him for a few minutes I was amazed to discover that I could find no place of weakness, no opening where he might be attacked. He was sitting calmly, watching the events around him, yet his mind was absolutely clear and in a state of constant readiness. I concluded that this must be the famous Ueshiba-sensei, and I was introduced to him as such a moment later."
