Hello everyone,
Tonight when I went to training our Sensei had a surprise for all of us. He had two people over from the UK (one was 4th dan and the other was 2nd dan Iwama Ryu). They have their own dojo over in the UK and they have trained directly under Saito Sensei.
I just wanted to say that it was my first time I had ever trained with people from a different "style" of Aikido and I loved it. I train in Seifukai and the differences in technique were very noticeable. But I now see what Aikido is about "harmony" and this was shown tonight with the blending of the two "styles".
I can't wait to train with others.
Thanks for listening

Hi Ben
Training with sensei from any style is always good it gives you a different perspective, on someone Else's thoughts, but may also show you that you must trust what you learn in your dojo when you see someone else doing the same stuff as you.
Good on you for accepting the teaching for what it was and keeping an open mind, in my dojo I invited instructors from all martial arts to show case their knowledge.
Train hard and enjoy the journey
