A true master... of online marketing

I found this guy's web site today, and let me tell you he must have thrown in every marketing buzz word he could think of: secret, amazing, free, bonus, underground, you, instant, short cut.

This is probably the single greatest endorsement for aikido that I have ever seen.

"SIDENOTE: Here is the thing: This will change your life immediately and forever!. Just as it did mine. You will have the Aikido skills, the confidence and the power to wrap your opponent into a little box of bones that will require him to pay rent to his chiropractor for using his office everyday for the rest of his sad and miserable pain filled life. Everyone who comes up against you from this day forward will need to see a trauma psychologist to help them deal with the flash-backs and pain filled memories from pissing you off and thinking they could show you who the man is..."

I thought everyone would have a laugh checking it out and I guess I'm half hoping that someone will order it and tell me what exactly his system is. I mean come on there's a 60 day 100% money back unconditional guarantee!

Re: A true master... of online marketing

It's funny that each book has the same picture on the front?! Maybe this sankyo with a kick technique covers all eventualities. When I was teaching the self-defence instructors in Delta Force this is the only technique we used as well.

I've seen several dubious links from other sites to these types of adverts, and the promotion is almost exactly the same (how someone - usually special forces, taught them all these secret moves that no-one else here's of). I think it is some type of scam and you won't receive anything. There aren't any 'secret techniques' except maybe one; that is to train your arse off until you are really good (many beginners take ages before they understand this secret technique).

Re: A true master... of online marketing

Quote (from the website): "Do You Have The Aikido Skills To Defend Yourself Against These 2 Trained Killers Who Have Weapons?" Unquote.

I asked my friend in Delta Force about this and he told me not to bother with the sankyo lock and kicking them in the boll*cks, but to just shoot the bast*rds :-)

Ordering these books will most certainly 'change your life' when this guy gets hold of your credit card details and clones your identity...

I'd say that the closest this guy comes to telling the truth is when he makes the statement:
Quote:

And anyone else who pretends to have the one sure-fire, no fail, learn in 5 minutes way to kick anybody's ass.

If it's stupid but works, it isn't stupid.

This guy knows everything! I love how the website tells you today (whatever today is on ur computer) is the last day to order, since even though he's altruistic and sells his secrets for the benefit of all, all means just several "lucky few".

This guy has a different page, I mean exactly identical page, for any MA you can think of. He just changes the name.

I didn't check into it, but I had a hunch that that was the case.

Deadly Aikido secrets in minutes!!

Hey all, I just got an email from a Mr. Jim Anderson who proposes to teach deadly Aikido secrets (among other MA)

Claims that in a "Fight" you shouldn't take more than 8 minutes and so on and so on. "Use aikido techniques to destroy your opponent"......

I wanted to know who has actually dealt with this "gentleman" when I googled him I came up with this site

http://www.soton.ac.uk/~aikido/instructors.html

Is it the same guy?

P.S. I'm just curious as to who would make such claims, not interested in learning "Instant oatmeal Aikido" even if it were real.

Re: Deadly Aikido secrets in minutes!!

I would say it's the same Jim Anderson that we have been poking fun at in the humour section for This Web Site. I very much doubt that it is the same guy as you googled, the other site says '"Jim Anderson" is property of www.underground-training.com'

Cheers

Re: A true master... of online marketing

Maybe he's mastered the old dodging bullets trick that O Sensei used to do.

$67 is pretty good value if he has :-)

Did you look at that website? Its just about the least "deadly secret" type dojo you're ever likely to see.

He probably taught Chuck Norris... after all, everyone knows that "Bullets dodge Chuck Norris!"

(Dang, I just couldn't stop myself from repeating that cheezy phrase!)

Re: A true master... of online marketing

I was flicking through a copy of his book yesterday and there is this cool technique against armed mutliple attackers you can actually do whilst unconcious. I tried it whilst I was asleep last night and it really works!

Re: A true master... of online marketing

hey folks, I don't think it's such a good deal. He says he paid OVER $1,364.54 for these training books, but I'm pretty sure I remember a guy at the subway station selling them for no more than $1,364.29!!!! He looked pretty unconscious too, so he was probably deadly....

Re: A true master... of online marketing

the article says,"The guaranteed way to put any attacker on his head within seconds of an attack. I don't care if your attacker is 200lbs larger then you... He will go down so fast he won't even know what happened... " That would be kick him in the nuts I presume. One thing is clear from this site, this guy has NEVER done aikido in his life!

if you have a gmail account you see a lot of this crap pop up.
