Summary of a recent test...

All,

I'm not sure if anyone is really interested, but I posted a summary of the tests at my dojo this past Saturday:

http://www.aikiweb.com/forums/journa...view#I passed!

Congrats

Congratulations, Drew. Nothing like testing while sweat pours off you in buckets and makes your hands all slippery

I've never heard of testing for two ranks at once. Is this common in your dojo? Why is it done this way? Just curious.

Hi Jim,

Thanks. I actually lost uke's hand at one point in a technique 'cause of all the sweat.

It's not common to test for two ranks at once, but we hadn't tested for over a year. Partly this was because we had to move our dojo to a new building, and partly because after we moved we got an influx of new students. Waiting just a bit longer made it possible for the new students to test as well.

Regards,

-Drew

Thanks Ron. At this rate, I'm on pace for 8th dan in 140 years!

Just kidding.

Anyway, we're going to be posting some pictures from the test on our web site soon. I'll let everyone know when they're up.

Regards,
