Question Tomiki Video?

Wasnt someone going to post a video of a Tomiki Randori session?

I was wondering whether it came to anything?

Oh and does anyone have any idea about Tomiki ryu events in england, like championships etc?

Regards,

Check out the BAA web site (www.aikido-baa.org.uk) for all the news. It is a grouping of all the Tomiki and Shodokan clubs within the UK. It's quiet active.

There are some clips at the JAA web site homepage2.nifty.com/shodokan/en/kyogi10.html which show Nariyama shihan doing the 17 randori no kata.

There are some clips of the last world championship at

www.wakefield-aikido.co.uk/multimedia.htm?

If you are close to one of the Shodokan/Tomiki clubs, then feel free to just pop in and train. It'll show you a bit more what it is like. Certainly, if you (or anyone here) is in York at any point, please come and train.

The people who understand, understand prefectly.

suggest some cardio training first if you really want to play with them properly (or a nice big stick)... and they've unfortunately heard most of the jokes about their "knives", but it's almost worth repeating them to see the pained grin

lol, does anyone know any jokes about the knives?

I dont think I'll need any cardio, I'm ready for 'um.... :S

I'm just interested in seeing what its like, not going to change styles or anything like that.
