Academic research in to Aikido pedagogy

I'm working on my B.Ed. in Post-Secondary Education, and it's occurred to me that it might be interesting to research the various approaches used in teaching Aikido, and what seems to be broadly effective. I've found a couple of papers, but not much. Is anyone already working on this research?

Are you limting yourself to English language research? If not there are quite a few out there in Japanese. Papers and research both by and on Kenji Tomiki and his methods abound. I'm not a Tomiki practioner but I'm certain one could point you in the right direction.

You could also try contacting Waseda University ?(Tomiki's Uni.) as well, they probably have some extracts in English. That's all I've got off the top of my head. Hope that helps.

One more I came across and thought I'd toss out there, though I can't vouch for the school or their programs, is the Kokusai Budou Daigaku (International Budo University).

On a different note I would look at the latest work from Kolb regarding his learning circle for inspiration. And some of the work of William Rankin could also be relevant.

I have been wanting to do something about this so will look forward to your results.
