Yoshinkan/Yoshokai People in DC Area?

A friend and I, both Yoshokai students, are looking around for any Yoshinkan or Yoshokai aikidoka in the DC area. We're "stranded" out here, and are trying to put together some regular practice. American University has a mat room that can be accessed for a fee of $50/year, which also permits use of their entire gym facility; that would seem like a logical meeting place.

If anyone's interested, please let me know. Thanks!

$50 a year including gym privileges??? What a steal that is! In my opinion, with a facility available for such a reasonable rate, you and your friend should join and have regular sessions, whether you can find others of your style or not. Even informal practices or exchanges with other styles or other arts could be very beneficial. There are many who want to deepen their understanding of budo in general, and if all participate with open mind and good will, this could prove to be a wonderful opportunity. I hope you can get something together.

Yep. We'll definitely do this regardless of whether anyone answers or not, but of course more people is always better. Actually, the same place runs a BJJ/grappling club of sorts on Wednesdays and Sundays, which I've been attending and greatly enjoying. I might try to rope my friend in to it as well; she said she'll give it a shot, and see if she likes it.
