Hi guys,
Quite often i come across an article or a forum reply that talks about the importance of controlled breathing, but i can not see how to implement it in an Aikido technique. So how is it done? and are they any exercises to achieve a better control over one's breathing?

Thanx

Oren

I'm not sure what you mean by controlled breathing during a technique but one way to catch the importance of breathing for yourself is to hold your breath while doing a technique. IF you do not have the strength to muscle through the technique you'll find it nearly impossible. Breathing keeps you relaxed and calm while doing your techniques and I'm sure it holds true that the more controlled your breathing is, the more under control and relaxed will be.
