Resin Drawn Hickory??

Does anyone know what resin drawn hickory is or have any info regarding the process of producing it? I just went on Kingfishers website and saw that under Specials they're offering resin drawn hickory weapons. These weapons are not laminates and were made from solid, specially treated hickory. They're supposed to be 30% heavier than the non-treated type, dent and warp resistant, sink in water and need little maintenance.

They also look pretty awesome too.

Thanks Craig, I read that on Kingfisher's page but just needed a little more info as to how it's being done. Not quite sure if the wood was soaked in resin or resin is being drawn out of it. I'm quite curious as to how the process is being done.

Re: Resin Drawn Hickory??

Why not ask King Fisher Woodworks directly? In the past, I've found they've been very easy to talk to. In this case, I could see them wanting to keep some technical details to themselves, but just ask them...
