I just came home from my beginners training, and I am floating on air.
Today's training was an incredibly positive experience.
We have been putting up flyers in the neighborhood for a couple of weeks now, trying to get more members for our dojo, and today it paid off.
We had 6 newcomers, 4 mudansha and 2 yudansha attending, which is extremely rare as we are normally only 4-5 including the instructor. But hey, the more the merrier right?
So we started, and us kyus were almost acting as assistant instructors, which was a really great feeling. For once we were the ones doing the things correctly and sharing our knowledge with the others. Everybody was in a good mood, and the 2 hours went by smoothly.
Most of the newcomers were excited and looking forward to the next session.
