You have Quintin Chambers of TSKSR and SMR who was a friend of Donn Draegers and spent many years in Japan. I believe he did Aikido as well. Then you have Wayne Muramoto of Furyu Magazine. And Menkyo in Takeouchi ryu and he also does MJER. I think he did Aikido as well. History of aikido on the island? It would be a major mistake not to talk to these guys. Hawaii will always have many good aikido practitioners. The problem was and is, they never speak about themselves. By default, they are secretive, Interview all of the Aikido & Ju Jitsu Schools in Hawaii. If they kept old pictures, you will find many of them.
